Daihatsu has brought the 2015 Daihatsu Copen Cero, Daihatsu Move Custom and Daihatsu Tanto Welcome Seat to the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show.
In its third generation, the Daihatsu Copen Cero is an open type roadster where owners have an option of switching the outer panels (excluding the doors) as well as the headlights and other lighting. It features round Bi-Angle LED headlamps, large four-point grille, foglamps with chrome enclosures and a gloss black A-pillar.
It is powered by a 658cc engine mated to a CVT or manual gearbox, which is capable of attaining 25.2 km/L and 22.2km/liter, respectively. Prices range from 1,852,200 yen to 1,873,800 yen.
The Daihatsu Move Custom is a sportier variant of the regular Daihatsu Move, featuring projector headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, an aggressive front bumper with foglights, black contrast roof, multi-spoke alloy rims, roof-mounted spoiler and LED taillights. The cabin is given a sporty full black treatment as against the Move’s dual-tone black-beige finish.
The Move Custom packs a 660 cc three-cylinder gasoline engine which is available in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged guises, to produce 52 PS and 64 PS respectively. It is paired to a CVT as standard across, and is also available in 2WD and 4WD configurations.
As for the Daihatsu Tanto Welcome Seat, it's basically a regular Tanto, but with an interesting feature where the front passenger seat rotates and slides for easier entry and egress.
