IMS Motors, authorized distributors of Ssangyong in Nepal, has launched the Ssangyong Tivoli for sale. It’s priced from NPR 5,375,000 (around INR 33.66 Lakhs), and is imported via the CBU route from South Korea.
The Nepal-spec Tivoli is available with a 1.6L e-XGi160 petrol engine that outputs 126 PS and 160 Nm of torque and a 1.6L e-XDi160 turbodiesel engine capable of 115 PS and 300 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions, while higher grades can be equipped with a 4×4 system.
Ssangyong had unveiled the Tivoli at the Auto Expo 2016 in February to the Indian public, and could be evaluating a launch in the country, as evidenced by several spyshots of the Tivoli testing on Indian roads. If launched, it could accompany the lone Ssangyong Rexton in the company’s Indian portfolio, and widen the appeal of the Korean brand in the market.
A longer version of the Ssangyong Tivoli was recently launched in South Korea, dubbed as the Ssangyong Tivoli Air. Prices range between Won 19,490,000 – Won 24,490,000 (INR 11,25,693 – 14,14,481), and the Air is 245 longer and 45 mm/35 mm taller than the regular Tivoli.
