Expected to launch next month.
A new spyshot gives a close-up look at the Bajaj Pulsar CS400, which according to reports, will launch in June this year. While the prototype is camouflaged, a part of the fairing reveals a Red body color which looks identical to the Pulsar CS400 show-bike at the Auto Expo 2014, where the motorcycle made its debut.
Other noteworthy details include the presence of dual-channel ABS, a stubby exhaust, black-and-silver alloy wheels (which were also present on the showbike), and what appears to be LED taillight elements. Overall, little has changed, design-wise, compared to the Auto Expo show-bike. However, it is to be noted that the front suspension on the prototype is a conventional telescopic unit whereas the show-bike featured upside-down telescopic forks.
When launched, the Bajaj Pulsar CS400 will be the fastest, most powerful and most expensive Pulsar model to go on sale. It is expected to be powered by the KTM Duke 390's 375 cc single-cylinder engine with the addition of the Bajaj triple-spark technology, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine develops 44 PS and 35 Nm of torque on the Duke.
