According to GaadiWaadi, Toyota Kirloskar Motors is expected to launch the all new Toyota Innova Crysta on May 3. Both petrol and diesel variants will be available at launch.
Deliveries of the diesel model will, reportedly, begin from May 13, while the petrol variants will start arriving at showrooms in August. The Toyota Innova Crysta will establish a new premium MPV segment, and prices could start from INR 13 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
The diesel variant will pack the 2.4-liter GD engine producing 149 PS and 342 Nm of torque with a 5-speed manual transmission or 360 Nm of torque with a 6-speed automatic transmission. A bigger 2.8-liter GD diesel variant with 177 PS could also be introduced as it was spotted for the first time in the Innova Crysta at the Auto Expo. A 2.0-liter or 2.7-liter VVT-i petrol engine could power the petrol variant of the Innova Crysta.

The second generation Toyota Innova measures 4,735 mm long, 1,830 mm wide and 1,795 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,750 mm. Compared to the first gen model, it has grown by 150 mm in length, 70 mm in width and 35 mm in height, although the wheelbase is identical.
