Prices start from INR 3.2 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
Although Tata haven't yet revealed the number of bookings received for the Tata Tiago, the company's Regional Manager South-1 (Passenger Vehicle Business Unit), Nakul Gupta, confirmed that they have had over 100,000 enquiries.
Given that the Tiago starts from a highly competitive price of INR 3.2 Lakhs (Ex-showroom Delhi), it's not surprising to see such a good response towards the hatchback. However, its success in the market will depend on the number of bookings Tata has received, as well as the number of cars sold every month.
Compared to its rivals, the Tiago is the least expensive hatchback in the segment, whilst offering more powerful powertrains, better fuel efficiency, more equipment and slightly better road presence. Engine lineup includes an all new 1.2-litre three-cylinder Revotron engine that produces 85 PS and 114 Nm, while the diesel-powered Tiago packs a 1.05-litre three-cylinder Revotorq engine that develops 70 PS and 140 Nm.

In an older report, Tata’s VP of Sales and Network, SN Barman, has admitted that the highly competitive launch price of the Tata Tiago is difficult to hold for a certain period. It’s unclear as to how long Tata will keep the introductory price.
