Could go on sale towards end-2016.
Following its unveil at the Auto Expo 2016, Anything on Wheels has spotted pre-production Tata Nexon mules testing on the outskirts of Pune. It is expected to go on sale towards the end of 2016.
The Tata Nexon looks virtually similar to the Nexon concept unveiled two years ago, save for typical production-spec elements. The Nexon is expected to measure 3,995 mm long, rides on 16-inch alloy wheels and sports a ground clearance of 200 mm. It gets projector headlights, a ceramic side finisher, contrast roof, LED taillights and LED daytime running lights in addition to a piano-black grille element.
Tata announced that the Nexon will be powered by a turbocharged Revotron 1.2-liter petrol engine or an all new 1.5-liter diesel engine, which will output 110 PS and 260 Nm of torque. A new 6-speed manual gearbox will drive the front wheels of the Nexon, while three driving modes will be available on the compact SUV.
