The Hexa and Nexon are expected to launch this year.
Tata Motors has confirmed that the forthcoming Auto Expo 2016 (which will start for the media on February 3, 2016) will see the debut of the "production ready" Tata Hexa, a "preview" of the Tata Nexon and the Tata Safari Storme Tuff edition.
The Tata Hexa made its debut as a pre-production concept at the Geneva Motor Show last year. The Hexa, which is essentially a massive transformation on the Tata Aria to give it an SUV-like look, will launch in India this year as a rival for the Mahindra XUV500. When launched, it will be powered by a 2.2-liter four-cylinder VARICOR diesel engine paired to 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions.
The Tata Nexon is Tata's entrant in the sub-4 meter SUV segment. Previewed by the Nexon concept at the Auto Expo 2014, the production model will look very similar to the concept, Mr. Pratap Bose, head of design for Tata Motors confirmed to IndianAutosBlog. The Nexon too will launch this year with the company's latest Revotron petrol engine and a diesel engine (possibly the Fiat-sourced MultiJet unit). It is reported to be based on the Tata Vista's platform.

The 'Tuff' nameplate has already been used by Tata Motors for the Tata Xenon Tuff Truck concept, which was revealed for the Australian market with a slew of cosmetic changes and add-ons. The Safari Storme Tuff could be used for survey purposes, based on which the company could launch such an edition later in the Safari's lifecycle.
