To be unveiled at Auto Expo 2016.
A facelifted Renault Duster test mule was spotted by IAB reader, Pramod Puliyankalath, on the NH4. The new Duster is expected to make its Indian debut at the Auto Expo 2016 in February 2016, three-and-a-half years after it was introduced in the country.
The spyshot depicts the rear end of the 2016 Renault Duster, which gets updated taillight clusters, new alloy wheel designs and perhaps new body panels that are similar to the Brazilian-spec model. The front-end receives a single slat grille flanked by headlamps with a new cluster design. Renault India’s Managing Director & CEO Sumit Sawhney told IAB last year that the Renault Duster facelift will have “a lot of innovations.”
Although not spotted in the instance, previous spyshots have revealed that the interior will feature a new single piece center console panel that houses the round HVAC vents, central cubby hole, and MEDIANAV touchscreen display, while the HVAC controls are now separated from the main console. New fabric upholstery and updated buttons, display graphics are also expected.

One of the biggest changes expected in the facelifted Duster is the introduction of the 6-speed Easy-R AMT gearbox, which is exclusive to the 110 PS variant. Otherwise, the new Renault Duster will continue offering the 1.5L K9K diesel engine in two variants: 84 PS and 110 PS. The former will feature a 5-speed manual gearbox, whereas the latter will be equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard or the Easy-R AMT for top-end grades.
