Mechanicals are expected to remain the same.
Seen here is the Mahindra Genio facelift snapped uncamouflaged by Indian Autos Blog reader Mr. Lalu Krishnan, somewhere in Telangana (judging by the number plate). As seen in earlier spyshots, the Genio facelift gets a comprehensive redesign and looks unlike the Mahindra Xylo on which it is based.
Designers have given it an SUV-ish grille with silver highlights for the 5-toothed structures. The headlights have been made slimmer while the circular foglight enclosures get chrome embellishments. The spyshot also shows a new color (only three colors - white, brown and silver - are offered on the current Genio) on the Genio facelift.
The Genio facelift is likely to continue with its mDI CRDe 2.5-liter four-cylinder diesel engine which develops 75 hp and 220 Nm of torque. Mahindra could offer a micro-hybrid (Start-Stop system) setup on the Genio facelift to increase its fuel efficiency.
For export markets, the Genio packs the 2.2-liter mHawk diesel engine capable of 120 hp and 280 Nm of torque. Export markets also get the pickup with a 4WD system, whereas for India, the Genio is solely a 2WD pickup.

Expect the Genio facelift to go on sale anytime in the coming weeks in single- and double-cab variants.
