Expected to launch this FY.
Autocar India has rendered the forthcoming Mahindra Quanto facelift, what is reported to be called the Mahindra Canto once launched.
The rendering suggests that designers will focus changes on the front fascia, giving it a more aggressive look. New headlight clusters with integrated LED daytime running lights, Mahindra's traditional grille with chrome highlights, new bumpers and body cladding are expected to give the Quanto facelift an SUV-like appearance.
Inside, Mahindra could appoint better plastics and offer an upgraded infotainment system with the BlueSense application. The Quanto facelift, or the Mahindra Canto, could also be a recipient of the automated manual transmission (AMT) which is available on the TUV300.
The Quanto presently uses a three-cylinder 1.5-liter diesel engine, which is basically a downsized version of the Xylo's engine. Mahindra could offer the TUV300's mHawk80 three-cylinder unit on the facelifted model. Developing 84 bhp and 230 Nm of torque, this engine delivers 18.49 km/l on the TUV300.
