Final testing underway for Mahindra's new monocoque products.
Two Mahindra S101 test mules have been snapped wearing a yellow camouflage. They appear to be mid-variant models, as they lack alloy wheels.
The S101 is expected to be named the Mahindra XUV100. It is reported to launch in January 2016 as the company's most affordable passenger car. It is a five-door hatchback based on a monocoque chassis, that could be priced between INR 4 lakhs to INR 7 lakhs.
The Mahindra S101 is fitted with halogen headlamps, small foglamps, wraparound taillamps, rear foglamps, pillar-mounted rear-door handles, a rear wiper and a roof-lip rear spoiler. The cabin is equipped with a bench-type front seat indicating a 5+1 seating layout.
