A new petrol engine will mark its debut on the XUV100.
A report on MotorOctane states that the Mahindra S101 (which is expected to be called the Mahindra XUV100) will have its market launch in January 2016. According to the report, the S101 was expected to launch this calendar year, however, the company has pushed the launch to January as it tries to satisfy the demand for the TUV300.
As reported earlier, the S101 will be based on an all-new front-wheel drive monocoque platform, which will underpin a range of cars in the future. This will be the second monocoque product to have been developed by Mahindra

The petrol engine though, is confirmed to be an all-new 1.2-liter engine. Both, manual and automated manual transmissions are expected on the XUV100.
