Mahindra has launched the Mahindra Quanto (current model) in Italy, one of the export markets for the Indian manufacturer. It is priced from EUR 14,274 (INR 10.04 Lakhs), and is different from the model sold in India, as far as its powertrain is concerned.
The Mahindra Quanto sold in Italy will get a 2.2-liter mHawk diesel engine, which produces 120 bhp. The only transmission option available is a 5-speed manual gearbox, while an electronic 4WD system can be equipped as an optional feature. Note that the model sold in India has a smaller 1.5-liter three cylinder engine and no option of a 4WD system.
Inside, it comes with features such as rear seat folding parcel tray, cruise control, radio with MP3 player, USB and SD Card, trip computer, steering-mounted buttons, electronic assistance for hill starts and hill assist, immobilizer, alloy wheels (wheel covers on 2WD variant) and running boards sill.
The Indian market will get a facelifted model in 2016, which will reportedly feature a new name, revised exterior and interior styling, upgraded powertrain and better equipment.
