Will launch this year with a new petrol engine.
MotorVikatan has uploaded spyshots of the interior of the Mahindra XUV100 (Mahindra S101 codename), which is slated to launch this year.
The dashboard is composed of a three-spoke steering wheel (previous spyshots have shown it to get integrated controls), and an instrument cluster which looks familiar to the XUV500 (the red dial integrated within the speedo).
Over to the center console, this test mule sports a manual gearbox, though reports state that an automated manual transmission will also be available. Below the gearlever, the XUV100 sports what looks like a pull-type hand-brake lever, which further confirms that the space between the driver and passenger seat will be occupied by a child seat of sorts.
The center console sees rotary knobs for the HVAC and a 2-DIN space for a music system. Rectangular HVAC vents are seen above that.
Based on an all-new monocoque platform, the XUV100 will rival the Maruti Wagon R primarily. Reports state that it will have a starting price of INR 4 lakhs, ex-Showroom, thus becoming Mahindra's most affordable passenger vehicle.

The XUV100 will also debut a new petrol engine for the brand, which is reported to be a 1.2-liter unit. A three-cylinder diesel engine will also be offered on the small car.
