Second model to roll-out of Ford's new facility in Sanand, Gujarat.
Following the launch of the sub-4m Ford Figo Aspire sedan, Ford India is now gearing up to launch the second generation 2015 Ford Figo hatchback in late September or early October, which is nearly in line with what Ford India's MD, Mr Nigel Harris, told IAB in July.
As seen in undisguised spyshots of the 2015 Ford Figo, the exterior and interior are both evolutionary, with respect to design, equipment and build quality. The 2015 Ford Figo drops the entry-level looks of the outgoing model for a more premium and dynamic design that is identical to the Ford Ka sold in Brazil.
The Ford Figo is also expected to be a well-equipped contender in its segment. It will borrow the Ford SYNC infotainment system, Ford MyKey, and automatic climate control from the Ford Figo Aspire. As for safety features, the top-end Titanium Plus variant could feature six airbags and ABS+EBD as standard.

Under the hood, the Ford Figo will pack the 88 PS 1.2-liter Ti-VCT petrol option or an 100 PS 1.5-liter TDCi diesel engine. Both engines will be paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. It's unclear if Ford will also include the 1.5-liter Ti-VCT with a 6-speed Powershift DCT gearbox, which outputs 112 PS and 136 Nm of torque in the Figo Aspire.
