The PHEV-S concept teased, previews the Outlander, which is unavailable in Indonesia.
Mitsubishi Motor’s Indonesian arm PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB), the sole agent Mitsubishi cars in the region, has announced that it will present a concept car at the GIIAS 2015. The Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2015 opens in Jakarta on August 20.
Only a teaser image has been released which shows the car’s DRLs illuminated in what is a dark image. On the basis of the DRLs, we can assume that the concept car that will be shown is the Outlander PHEV Concept-S that made its debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. This concept is based on the Outlander PHEV 4WD SUV plug-in hybrid vehicle; it was touted by Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) as a special design package for the production Outlander PHEV, and it previewed the Outlander facelift that launched in June.
The hybrid concept is powered by 2.0-liter, four-cylinder MIVEC gasoline engine coupled with two permanent magnet synchronous motors that are powered by a high capacity 12 kWh Lithium-ion battery. These twin electric motors provide 4WD through a system which Mitsubishi calls Twin Motor 4WD.

Mitsubishi does not sell the Outlander in Indonesia and could be testing the market for the vehicle, which if launched, would be the flagship model. Additionally the company will launch the Mitsubishi Triton dual-cab at the show, and also display its current lineup.
