Bookings underway at all dealerships.
Honda Cars India have announced their sales figures for June 2015 (wholesale figures which indicate cars billed to dealerships). Ahead of its market launch on July 8, 2015, the Japanese car maker has already shipped 2,336 units of the new Honda Jazz to its dealerships.
The Jazz, to recap, will come with a petrol and a diesel engine, the latter being a first on the hatchback. The petrol, a 1.2-liter four-cylinder i-VTEC produces 90 PS and 110 Nm of torque, and comes paired to a 5-speed manual or a CVT. The 1.5-liter four-cylinder i-DTEC Earth Dreams diesel engine develops 100 PS and 200 Nm of torque, and gets a 6-speed manual only.
The diesel Jazz delivers a class-leading fuel efficiency of 27.3 km/l, while the petrol variants are rated at 19 km/l for the CVT and 18.7 km/l for the manual.
The manual variants of the Jazz will come in five variants - E, S, SV, V and VX - while the CVT will be made available in two trims - S and V. Bookings for the new Jazz have started at all dealerships in India as well.
