Top-end VX trim gets Honda's innovative Magic Seat.
Certain dealers of Honda Cars India have started accepting bookings for the new 2015 Honda Jazz, for a sum of INR 51,000, ahead of the premium hatchback's market launch on July 8, 2015.
When contacted, spokesperson for Honda Cars India told Indian Autos Blog that the official start date for accepting bookings was from June 20, 2015, though certain dealers have already started taking deposits from prospective customers.
To recap, the new Jazz will be offered with a petrol and diesel engine. The former is a 1.2-liter i-VTEC engine capable of 90 PS and 110 Nm of torque, while the latter is the 1.5-liter i-DTEC developing 100 PS and 200 Nm of torque.
The petrol engine will be paired with a 5-speed manual or a CVT gearbox, whereas the diesel gets only a 6-speed manual transmission. The ARAI-rated fuel efficiency figures stand at 18.7 km/l for the petrol manual, 19 km/l for the CVT and 27.3 km/l for the diesel.
According to reports, the Jazz will come in a total of 12 variants. The top-end VX trim gets Honda's famed Magic Seat, black upholstery with white contrast stitching, dual airbags, ABS, EBD, foglights, a 6.2-inch touchscreen AVN (Audio, Visual and Navigation) system, reverse camera, automatic climate control, a rear spoiler and alloy wheels.
