The Chinese media expect the new generation 2015 Ford Everest (2015 Ford Endeavour for India) to launch sometime in October this year, with three engine options and manual and automatic transmissions. The Everest was showcased at the Guangzhou Motor Show in November last year, where Ford announced the SUV will be manufactured at the JMC Xiaolan Plant in Nanchang, China.
For the Chinese market, the Everest will be sold with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged EcoBoost petrol engine, and 2.2- and 3.2-liter TDCi diesel engines, the latter being a five-cylinder unit. According to local media reports, both 2WD and 4WD variants will be on offer.
The ladder-frame SUV will be equipped with projector headlights, a powered tailgate, Ford's SYNC2 infotainment system with voice commands, an 8-inch touchscreen display with a 9-speaker audio system and a sub-woofer, powered third row seats, and the new Terrain Management System.

For the Indian market, the new Endeavour is expected to launch towards the end of the year with the 2.2- and 3.2-liter diesel engines. For the Indian market, the SUV will continue to be assembled at the Chennai plant from Thai-made CKD kits.
