Readers must note that the Australian prices have no bearing on the pricing strategy Ford will adopt on the Endeavour when it comes to India late in the year.

The new Endeavour was launched in Thailand in March and showcased in China in April, but deliveries are yet to commence anywhere globally.

Reported to go on sale in October in the continent, the top-end Titanium is priced at $76,990 (INR 37.9 lakh) excluding on-road costs. The bottom variant of the Everest is said to be priced at $54,990 (INR 27 lakh), while the mid-variant Trend will be available at $60,990 (INR 30.24 lakh).

Unlike in the Philippine market, the Australian market will only get the 4×4 variant of the SUV. Features of the top-end Titanium include 20-inch alloy wheels, chrome door handles and exterior mirrors, LED daytime running lights, tyre pressure monitoring system, blind spot monitoring system with cross-traffic alert, DAB+ digital radio, power tailgate, projector headlamps, 10-speaker audio system with subwoofer amongst other items.
