Seen for the first time in right-hand drive format (the ix25 is presently available only in the Chinese market where it comes in LHD), the test mule sports a 6-speed manual transmission, indicating that it is running on a diesel engine. Hyundai’s petrol engine, a 1.6-liter VTVT which, gets a 5-speed manual option, whereas the 1.4- and 1.6-liter diesels come with a 6-speed manual.
