The company is targeting sales of 4,000 units/month.
An Autocar India reader has snapped the interior of the Hyundai ix25 compact SUV, what is codenamed in India as the Hyundai 'GS'. Set to launch in August this year, the ix25 is likely to get a different name in India, and India-specific changes.
Seen for the first time in right-hand drive format (the ix25 is presently available only in the Chinese market where it comes in LHD), the test mule sports a 6-speed manual transmission, indicating that it is running on a diesel engine. Hyundai's petrol engine, a 1.6-liter VTVT which, gets a 5-speed manual option, whereas the 1.4- and 1.6-liter diesels come with a 6-speed manual.
Also seen is a dual-tone black-and-beige interior, which according to the report, will be one of three interior schemes on offer. Hyundai plans on giving base variants an all-black dashboard, and higher variants will get funky color tones, similar to the Hyundai i20 Active.
