Capable of 160 PS at 5,500 rpm and 230 Nm at 3,000 rpm.
Fiat is all set to introduce the first Abarth in the Indian market, and has begun teasing the model on their official website. It was first revealed in December 2014 at the Autocar Performance Show, and is expected to be launched in July 2015.
To be sold as a CBU product, the go-faster version of the little Abarth will be sold in limited numbers. It differs from the normal 500 by means of a low front bumper with graphite insert, Abarth scorpion badge that replaces Fiat’s, exclusive 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped with Pirelli PZero 205/40 rubbers, side body decals, an aggressive rear bumper and a roof mounted spoiler.
The Abarth 595 Competizione is powered by a 1.4-litre turbo petrol motor delivering 160 PS and 210 Nm of torque, which is powerful for a tiny lightweight 3-door hatchback. Power is transferred to the front wheels via an AMT gearbox with steering mounted paddles.

The Abarth 595 Competitizione will belong into a niche segment that also includes the Mini Cooper S. It also kickstarts Fiat’s aggressive strategy for India, which involves the company launching a new vehicle every two months until the end of this year.
