To be launched in January 2015.
The Fiat Abarth 595 Competizione has been unveiled in India ahead of its launch next month.
The 595 Competizione marks the arrival of Fiat's performance division Abarth which was announced a long ago for India. Imported as a CBU, the go-faster version of the little 500 would be sold in limited numbers.
Visually, the hot hatchback differs from the tamed 500 by means of a sporty front bumper with graphite insert, a hard to miss scorpion badge of Abarth which sits in place Fiat's, exclusive 17-inch alloy wheels that are shod with Pirelli PZero 205/40 rubbers, side body decals, an aggressive rear bumper and a roof mounted spoiler.
Inside, the graphite theme continues on the dashboard. Other exclusive elements include a flat bottomed steering wheel, race seats and LCD display in place of the regular car's instrument console.
Power comes from a 1.4-litre turbo petrol motor which puts out 158 bhp and 210 Nm of torque which is enough to offer a sprightly performance in a tiny lightweight 3-door hatchback.
Competitor: 2014 Mini Cooper 3-door
