Update - Automotive Space Italy has spotted the new Fiat sedan ahead of its unveil this week, in Turin. The vehicle will be sold in over 40 countries in the EMEA region, but its launch remains unconfirmed for India.
May 14, 2015 -
Will be sold in Turkey from November.
Seen here are the first interior spyshots of the forthcoming Fiat compact sedan which will be revealed on May 21, 2015, at the Istanbul Motor Show.
Designers have given the sedan a 500-inspired three-spoke steering wheel and a stacked center console which looks nothing like the current Linea's console. The 2-DIN music system is positioned higher up, predictably in-line with the driver's eyesight, while the HVAC vents and controls are arranged below. The test mule here is likely to be a top-end variant as it gets chrome highlights for the vents and the rotary knobs.
A manual transmission is seen on this prototype, though Fiat is likely to offer an automatic or even an automated manual transmission on the yet-to-be-named car. The sedan will be available with petrol and diesel engines, the latter being Fiat's MultiJet range in displacements of 1.3- or 1.6-liters.

The sedan was designed by the FCA Style Center with inputs coming from Fiat's Turkish joint venture, Tofas's R&D. It will be manufactured at the Tofas plant and sold in Turkey from November. The plant will export the sedan to over 40 countries, though it remains to be seen if Fiat India is considering the sedan to replace the Linea, which was launched in 2008.
