Engines will be carried over from the Amaze.
Honda Cars India has announced by way of its social media channel that the new Honda Jazz will launch in India this July.
The new Jazz, when launched, will be powered by a 1.2-liter petrol engine and a 1.5-liter diesel engine, the latter being a first on the hatchback. The petrol motor, carried over from the Brio, is expected to produce 88 PS and 109 Nm of torque, while the diesel will develop 100 PS and 200 Nm of torque.
The petrol Jazz is expected to be offered with a 5-speed manual and a CVT gearbox, while the diesel will be paired to a manual transmission only.
Inside, the Jazz borrows its dashboard from the new City, and hence, features such as touch-controlled automatic climate control system, steering mounted audio and phone controls, a touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and reverse camera, and power folding wing mirrors will be seen. On the safety front, the Jazz will get dual front airbags with ABS and EBD.

The new Jazz will be made at the Tapukara, Rajasthan, plant of the Japanese car maker. Where the previous model saw plenty of imported components, localization level on the new Jazz would be about 90 percent, indicating competitive prices.
