A facelift could launch next year.
Indian Autos Blog reader, Mr. Ramdas, has come up with a rendering of the Honda Amaze facelift.
A new dual-slat chrome grille gives the compact sedan a squat appearance, as does the new front bumper with redesigned foglight enclosures. While Honda has not announced a facelift for the Brio or Amaze, a mid-life intervention is expected sometime next year (the Amaze was launched in India in April 2013) as several new players including Ford and Volkswagen would have launched new compact sedans.
Honda has been mindful of keeping the Amaze fresh by introducing minor updates. A touchscreen infotainment system, redesigned wing mirror enclosures and the option of a CNG variant were introduced on the Amaze this year.
The Amaze continues to bring heavy volumes for Honda Cars India with average monthly sales tallying up to 5,558 units (calculated over the past 6 months). The compact sedan is powered by a 1.2-liter petrol engine or a 1.5-liter diesel engine. The latter made its debut on the Amaze, and provides 100 PS and 200 Nm of torque, along with an ARAI-rated efficiency of 25.8 km/l.

The petrol variant, which makes 88 PS and 109 Nm of torque is paired to 5-speed manual and automatic transmissions. HCIL also exports the Amaze to Nepal, South Africa and Brunei.
