Will preview the design direction of future Tata SUVs.
Autocar India has reported that Tata Motors will showcase a new crossover named 'Tata Hexa' at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show which begins tomorrow. The company has had a history of unveilings at the Swiss show, and is reportedly also planning to launch a performance Bolt hatchback as a second premiere this year.
The publication adds that the Tata Hexa is "a near-production-ready concept" of a new crossover, and the name is derived from its seating configuration, which is a three-row, six-seat arrangement, with captain seats in the middle row.
The concept will reportedly feature swept-back headlights, large grille, chrome accents and point to the design of future utility vehicles from the brand. It will source its power from an uprated version of the 2.2-liter DICOR diesel engine that is used on the Aria and the Safari Storme.
The production version of the Hexa will likely go on sale in early 2016, adds the report.
