Toyota Motors Thailand has revealed the facelifts for the Camry range at the 2015 Bangkok Motor Show, including the sporty Extremo variant, following their launch earlier this month. The Extremo will accompany the basic 2.0G, 2.5G and the high end hybrid variants in showrooms.
The front end of the Camry Extremo is characterized by a large trapezoidal grille that also integrates the fog lamps in the lower fascia, a sleek upper grille with projector headlamps, and aggressive side air intakes. The rear bumper houses a sporty diffuser and dual exhaust pipes.
Inside, the Extremo comes with new standard and optional features such as ventilated front seats, three-zone air conditioning system, adaptive cruise control, and a docking station Qi Wireless charging for supported devices.
The car is powered by a 2.0-liter 4 cylinder motor with D4-S direct injection and a new VVTi-iW variable valve timing system. The new motor develops 167 hp and 199 Nm (a 20 hp and 9 Nm increase over the outgoing model), and comes paired to a new 6-speed automatic gearbox.
The Toyota Camry Extremo is priced at THB 1.429 million (INR 27.29 Lakhs), and is slotted under the more powerful Camry 2.5G. The facelifted Camry will be launched in the Indian market this year.
