Update 2 - Indian Cars Bikes spotted a test mule of the Chevrolet Trailblazer testing in Bengaluru. The ladder-frame based SUV is announced to launch this year in the country.
Update 1 - Team BHP member man_of_steel, has taken a few pictures of the Chevrolet Trailblazer testing in Bengaluru. He observed the car having LED taillamps, exhaust tip on the right side and flared wheel arches.
Will be launched in India this year.
One of the pre-production prototypes of the upcoming Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV, which were imported from Thailand, was spotted testing in Mumbai. It sports heavy body cladding and camouflage to hide the final design, which was already revealed at the 2014 Auto Expo.
The Chevrolet Trailblazer is based on the body-on-frame architecture of the Colorado pick-up truck, and is manufactured in Thailand. Similar to its rivals, it can seat seven passengers comfortably, will be trimmed with premium materials and upholstery, and comes equipped with features like Chevrolet's latest-generation MyLink infotainment system.
According to the import document, the prototypes pack a 2.8-liter diesel engine capable of 200 hp at 3,600 rpm and 500 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. For the Thai market, along with the 2.8-liter unit, a smaller 163 hp 2.5-liter diesel is also offered, although some suggest that this motor might not make it into Indian-spec Trailblazers.
The 2.8-liter engine is paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission, and is offered in both 2WD and 4WD variants in Thailand. Expect the Indian-spec Trailblazer to offer the same configurations.

As confirmed by GM India, the Trailblazer will be launched in the Indian market this year. To price it competitively, the company will most likely follow the CKD route.
