Minor cosmetic changes for VW's executive sedan.
VW India has announced the launch of the Jetta facelift for February 17. The ongoing pre-launch media drive sees the car being revealed officially for the first time in India.
Here’s what you need to know about the Jetta facelift.
The front fascia sees a redesign with a new triple slat chrome grille, newly-designed foglight enclosures and a tweaked bumper. The rear gets a new light cluster, and this summarizes the exterior changes on the sedan.
Inside, the Jetta benefits from the new flat-bottomed three-spoke steering wheel and a new 6-CD changer music system with 8 speakers.
There are no mechanical changes to the sedan, and it will continue to be offered with the 1.4-liter four-cylinder TSI petrol engine (122 PS/200 Nm) and the 2.0-liter four-cylinder TDI diesel (140 PS/320 Nm). A 6-speed manual transmission is fitted as standard, while the diesel can also be had with a 6-speed DSG automatic.
The petrol will be made available in Trendline and Comfortline models, the diesel manual in Trendline, Comfortline and Highline trims, and the diesel auto will come only in the top-end Highline trim. Like the outgoing model, the Jetta facelift too will be assembled at the Aurangabad plant.
