The company announced that it will make 100,000 units of the Tivoli in the first year, of which about 60,000 units will be exported to places like China, Europe and Latin America. Currently, Mahindra is undecided on launching the Tivoli in India.

The Tivoli was launched with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder petrol engine, which took three years to develop. The motor is capable of 126 PS (124 bhp) and 157 Nm of torque, and is paired to manual and automatic transmissions.

Ssangyong says that the Aisin-made automatic gearbox is as quick shifting as a dual-clutch unit. The company claims 12.3 km/l for the manual and 12 km/l for the automatic.
