Borrows its engine from the 200 NS.
The Bajaj Pulsar 200 AS was spotted at an event in Indonesia. The new bike with the AS badge, standing for Adventure Sport has caught us off guard as it has suddenly come under the radar, having never been spotted before.
The Pulsar 200 AS is another move by Bajaj to strengthen its 200 cc lineup as the new bike would join the existing 200 NS and the soon to be launched 200 SS. Featuring a completely new half-fairing, the Adventure Sport would be replacing Bajaj’s current Pulsar 220 F, while it carries the same engine and internals as the Pulsar 200 NS.
While there is no concrete news as to when this model would launch in India, the Pulsar 200 AS would be priced between the Pulsar 200 NS and the 200 SS.
The Pulsar 200 AS employs the same 199.5 cc, single cylinder, triple-spark engine that is found in the Pulsar 200 NS and would produce power in the range of 23.15 bhp and 18.3 Nm of torque with a six speed gearbox. The suspensions would be the same as the NS, with telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is provided via a 280 mm single disc at the front and a 230 mm disc at the rear.
