The Suzuki SX4 S-Cross is all set to be launched in the Malaysian market on November 20, reports LiveLifeDrive. The new gen compact crossover is expected to phase out the aging model which was jointly developed with former partner Fiat.
The Suzuki SX4 S-Cross is more upmarket than its predecessor and is much larger. The compact crossover measures 4,300 in length, 1,795 mm in width, 1,575 mm in height and 2,600 mm in wheelbase.
The Malaysia-bound model is expected to be powered by the 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine which produces 118 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 156 Nm at 4,400 rpm. Available in 2WD and 4WD versions, the SX4 S-Cross is offered with a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox.
The crossover is slated to be launched in India early next year and has been spotted testing in the country several times. The India-spec model will be available with a diesel engine as well however it remains to be seen whether Maruti will offer the 1.6-litre unit that is available globally or the heavily localized 1.3-litre DDiS motor.
