SX4 successor to launch in India next month.
Ahead of a market launch which is reported to take place next month, Maruti Suzuki have started production of the Maruti Ciaz sedan at their plant in Manesar, Haryana. As these images from Gaadiwaadi show, India's largest car maker is believed to have made over 600 units of the sedan already.
Images here show the projector headlight of the car, and the color palette that would be on offer (a total of 7 colors would be offered according to the report).
The Ciaz will be launched with a petrol and a diesel engine option. The petrol motor is likely to be the 1.4-liter K-Series engine borrowed from the Ertiga, whereas the diesel would the tried-and-tested 1.3-liter Fiat Multijet.
The petrol engine would make about 95 PS (93.6 bhp) and 130 Nm of torque, and will come paired to a 5-speed manual transmission and possibly a CVT. The diesel will have outputs of 90 PS (88.73 bhp) and 200 Nm of torque, and will come with a manual gearbox only.
Maruti dealers are expected to commence pre-launch bookings this month.
