Splendor-based Cafe Racer debuted at the Auto Expo this year.
Hero Motocorp, the world's largest two-wheeler maker (by volumes), has launched the Splendor Pro Classic at a price of INR 53,900 (on-road, New Delhi). The Splendor Pro Classic made its debut at the Auto Expo this year.
The motorcycle gets a cafe racer inspired styling, but is based on the tried-and-tested platform of the Splendor.
Hero have revised the engine outputs of the Splendor Pro Classic since its Expo showcase. At the expo, the motorcycle was announced to develop 7.7 bhp and 8.04 Nm of torque, however, the website of Hero Motocorp now says that the bike produces 8.24 bhp (8.36 PS) at 8,000 rpm and 8.05 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. The engine, a single-cylinder 97.2 cc air-cooled unit, remains the same.
The bike uses a 4-speed gearbox, and gets a 130 mm drum brake at the front and a 110 mm drum brake at the rear.

The Splendor Pro Classic measures 1,935 mm in length, 720 mm in width, 1,020 mm in height and 1,230 mm in wheelbase. The motorcycle has a ground clearance of 180 mm, a fuel tank capacity of 11 liters and a kerb weight of 109 kg.
