The customized Yamaha R25 gets three-spoke white alloy wheels with meatier tyres.

Seen here is an after-market modification on the new Yamaha R25 whose reception in the domestic market has overwhelmed PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM). The company had predicted sales of 12,000 units in the first year but about a quarter of that volume was taken on the launch day itself, putting Yamaha Indonesia’s export plans to the back burner.

The modification job is by a Banten province-based specialist named Berkat Motor. Claimed to be in the initial stage of modification, the red R25 has been bestowed with wider three-spoke alloy wheels painted in white. The front wheel is wrapped in 120/60-17 (110/70-17 stock) rubber while the rear comes shod with a humongous 180/55-17 (140/70 – 17 stock) tyre, both Pirelli Diablos.

To enhance stopping power, the quarter litre sportsbike has been fitted with dual discs upfront with Brembo brake calipers. The rest of the bike stays untouched, for now, but the owner says that more custom parts are on their way.
