The Yamaha R25 Concept made its global debut in a pulsating video with the legendary MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi astride it on a racetrack. The Doctor appears again, this time to promote the production version of the quarter litre sportsbike and he avidly recalls the testing experience of the concept (first video).

In the new video, Mr. Rossi says that he has ridden many Yamaha R models and the riding experience of the R25 is memorable. He also goes on to say that the motorcycle stays true to Yamaha's R DNA.

The 250 cc parallel-twin liquid cooled engine develops 36 PS (35.49 bhp) and 22.6 Nm of torque. The fuel-injected engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
Made in Indonesia, previous images of the motorcycle suggest that it has a top speed close to 173 km/h and is capable of 196 km/h on a dyno. The bike tips the scale at 166 kg.
The Yamaha R25 will be launched in several markets including Japan and India in due course but the huge demand in the Indonesian market (first market) is keeping Yamaha occupied.
