Yamaha says, despite the drop in the engine output, the FZ FI V2.0 series offers better performance. The company also claims that the fuel economy has been improved by 14% and the overall emission (Hydrocarbon + Nox) has been reduced by 33%.

The price difference allows the new and old version to be positioned in different sub-segments within the 150 cc category.

Agree with Arun. Lots of practical updates have been made, like the FI,mud guard and the split seat. But the old FZ looks better for me.
