Honda will also launch the sportier Mobilio RS in India.

The 1.5-liter petrol i-VTEC would produce about 119 PS and 145 Nm of torque, with gearbox options possibly including a 5-speed manual and a CVT. The 1.5-liter diesel i-DTEC has outputs of 100 PS and 200 Nm of torque and could be paired to a 5- or 6-speed manual gearbox.

Apart from the regular trim levels of the Mobilio (like E, S, V etc.,), Honda will also launch the sporty Mobilio RS which gets a bodykit, HID projector headlights, rear spoiler and chrome-finished exhaust finisher.

honda cars are meant for quality but at the same time they price their cars at very high rates, take for eg: honda accord is priced at almost at german cars like benz, bmw , audi , skoda etc, so no one bought honda accord recently, the same thing applies to them in pricing mobilio if it is not priced correctly ertiga will sell more than what they are selling now. as for innova it is in a different league and its price is hitting the roof every passing year, so here mahindra scorpio and xuv are selling.

Good to see 2 things -a) Honda has informed that its going to be a VFM offering, so the pricing should be aggressive b) The decision to launch the sporty RS variant is a welcome step. It does look aggressive with its dual-slat chrome grille and styling changes. But Honda shouldn’t go overboard with the pricing of this variant too.

Someone commented on this forum a while ago, that after the initial high demand, Amaze sales are getting hit because of the Hyundai Xcent launch because people feel its a lot more Value for Money offering. Xcent being 50,000 cheaper than the Amaze makes the purchase decision a lot easier for the customer when it comes to a sub 6 lac car. I agree with that. Hope Honda has learnt a thing or two there.
