Indian Autos Blog reader, Mr. Rahul, photographed the 2014 Mahindra Scorpio facelift testing ahead of a launch expected to take place during the festival season.
So far, we know that the refreshed Scorpio will get a new front fascia complete with a new grille, newly designed tinted headlights with the possible inclusion of projector lamps, and an updated front bumper. A picture from another reader confirmed the presence of LED lights for the rear.
Inside, the Scorpio facelift has been spotted with an all new dashboard, and a steering wheel from the XUV500. We noticed that Mahindra has changed a lot inside including the instrument cluster, the aircon vents, the center console, the entertainment system and the seat fabrics.
Power for the refreshed Scorpio will likely come from the same 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine used by the current model. This engine outputs 120 bhp at 4,000 rpm and 290 Nm of torque between 1,800-2,800 rpm and comes with an option of a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
