The production-version of the compact crossover was first introduced in Japan at the Tokyo Motor Show last year as the Vezel. The Vezel is a huge hit in Japan, with the company getting almost 25,000 bookings within the first 3 weeks of its launch. However the company does not plan to launch the Vezel in India in the near term, as a smaller Brio-based SUV has received the green light to hit the jetstream of the Indian mini SUV market.

The manufacturing of the SUV at the company’s Celaya plant in Mexico marks the first instance of the car being manufactured outside of Japan. This plant will also manufacture the 2015 Honda Fit (Honda Jazz for Indians) that made its American debut at the Detroit Auto Show.

Just a pure copy of Nissan! When are they going to do anything original for a company of this size? Even the third rated Chinese companies are doing better in terms of new products!
