The Datsun Go will come in three variants, with a starting price of Rs 3 lakh and a tag of Rs 3.8 lakh for the top-end variant, according to a new report.
A report on ZigWheels states dealer sources for the information, adding that the third variant would be slotted between the two models mentioned above, at a price of around Rs 3.5 lakh. Datsun had earlier started taking bookings for the hatchback at Rs 11,000. For all variants, the car will have one ex-showroom price across the country.
It is known that the Go already gets very few features to boast of. However, it has a wheelbase of 2,450 mm, making it as spacious as a Nissan Micra Active. At a length of 3,785 mm, the Go is 5 mm longer than the Micra Active.
The hatchback was rolled out of the Renault-Nissan alliance plant in Oragadam near Chennai on the 4th of February and the report says that these cars should be arriving at dealerships by this weekend. Datsun will export the car starting from the end of this year.
At the Auto Expo 2014, Datsun showcased a few accessories on the Go, like alloy wheels, rear roof spoiler, body decals, reverse camera and an exhaust tip finished off in chrome. We expect the company to offer this on the Go either after the launch or as accessories during the launch itself.
