Prior to its reveal at the upcoming Auto Expo 2014, the Falcon 4 has been spied yet again - this time by our keen-eyed reader Abhijeet Deshpande in Pune's Wakad area. The bigger news is that the Falcon hatchback will branded as the Tata Bolt, according to Mr. Hormazd Sorabjee, editor of Autocar India.
Tata Motors has already begun teasing the Falcon 4, which is a comprehensive makeover to the Vista. It recently put up Facebook pages for the Falcon 4 and the Falcon 5, sub-4meter compact sedan, calling it the F4 and F5.
The Falcon 4 would get Tata Motors' new Human Machine Interface, making it more driver-focused. The company's head of design Pratap Bose, said in an interview that feedback has been taken from 50-60 people before the design was finalised.
We had previously reported on the Falcon 4's interiors being more upmarket than the current Vista. The Falcon 4 gets a two-tone steering wheel that we think is inspired from the Hyundai i20. There is also a revised instrument cluster with silver enclosures for the tacho and speedometers.
The company has already confirmed that both Falcon models will be unveiled on 3rd February, prior to the Auto Expo 2014. The Falcon 4 gets a definitive styling change from the Vista that includes the grille, headlamps and fog lamps. The Bolt would also get Tata's new Revotron petrol engine, besides the 1.3L Fiat MultiJet diesel engine.
