PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) are in the process of showcasing the Mobilio across Indonesia. Most recently, the MPV was shown in the city of Yogyakarta, Java, Indonesia.
Unveiled in September this year at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS), the Mobilio will enter production in HPM's new plant in West Java early next year. Bookings for the MPV have already started, and HPM have received more than 5,000 pre-orders. The first deliveries are set to take place from February.
The Mobilio is expected to launch in India next year. Honda Cars India will showcase it at the Auto Expo in February, alongside new models such as the 2014 Jazz. For India, the Mobilio will be powered by the City's 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine and the 1.5-liter EarthDreams diesel engine.
Since Indonesia is a petrol-majority market, HPM will retail only the petrol-powered Mobilio with a 5-speed manual and a CVT gearbox. Prices in Indonesia range from 150-180 million Rupiah (INR 8.41 to 10.09 lakhs).
Earlier this month, HPM also unveiled the Mobilio Prestige in Jakarta. This top-end variant gets features such as a 2-DIN touchscreen music system, rear-view camera, a new alloy wheel design, and chrome enhancements for the foglight enclosure, running boards and rear registration plate enclosure. The Prestige is priced at 190 million Rupiah (INR 10.43 lakhs).
