Mahindra’s Rodeo is pitched at youngsters who are seeking a stylish buy
With the festive season on and two new products in its stores already, Mahindra Two Wheelers is aiming at selling 7,000 scooters this month.
Mahindra has launched these products keeping in mind more than one category of customers. The Rodeo has been designed for the youngsters whereas the Duro is said to be suitable for the families.
All these models have been manufactured by the same Taiwan-based scooter manufacturer SYM with a 125cc engine.
These three products give you a gas mileage within the range of 50 to 58 kmpl under standard conditions and therefore said to be value for money products by the company. As of now, the company has around 300 dealerships and 80 service centres and is targeting customers in urban and semi-urban areas.

the mahinda duro scotter is a good scooter because it soccer are storng
kpl of mahindra duro
duro is a great bike. got mine in jan 10 2010. mileage depends on how you use it (like any vehicle). if i flaunt the power.. quick accelerations and cruze fast on the highway, 60+ kph, i get over 40 kpl (i think). if i just putt around and don’t wine the engine i get whatever they claim (50-58kpl). but i never have to worry about gas (it holds 6 liters). my reserve is over a liter, because from reserve line to full only cost 200 rupees (200r=4L). anyway the 125cc engine has a low hum and i give motorcycles a run for their money and even cars. i haven’t floored the accelarator or gone 80kph yet (new engine break in period). but when i’m going 65kph to koramangala and passing bikes and cars (the only bikes that pass me are 150+ motorcycles). in other words, on a scooter i’m flying with the big boys. and the engine is ready to purr some more. it still has more GO at 65kph where other scooters are falling behind or are maxed out. i’m confident (or just feel confident) that my duro will eat the others scooters and most bikes for lunch.. and it’s great to feel sure footed at high speeds in any vehicle.
gas mileage… well it’s a lot better than the maruti zen that i only drive once in while now.
i recommend the duro. i wanted the space. but the flyte (which i rented was awesome) so i think all three mahindra’s are good duro/ rodeo/ flyte all 125cc. but the duro fitted my taste. i think its india’s PORSCHE.
test drive them.
those of you with trouble finding dealers just go to website
mahindra2wheelers.com . waiting for the bike is worth it. i waited 3 weeks. mahindra will deliver to door also from website.
i am an oci (overseas citizen of india from california) on a two year engagement and i recommend that indians buy indian products. and make indian products.
BUY INDIAN!
the activa has a metal body, and the duro has a fiber composite body. but the duro weighs 105kg the same as the top bikes in its class.. access, aviator, activa. so it is heavy enough for highway driving security (ie road bumps). the parts guy at mahindra said something important. y’see i didn’t want a cheap or cheaply made bike and i thought a metal body should be the way. but he pointed out that well if you damage the body panel you can just buy a new one. he quoted 250 rupees for a side panel and i thought that’s cheap. (so check out the prices for panels on the bike) that means you don’t have to deal with dents and bending out metal. and since it is fiber composite it will just bounce back on low impact.
fixing a panel with honda will cost more.
look around at all the activas with scratches and dents and dented rusted protector railing (accessory).
i’m so glad i stumbled onto that mahindra dealer and drove a duro.
indian drivers.. don’t take risks and keep more distance between you and any other vehicle in all directions.
indians are becoming more respected worldwide so act that way at home. drive sane.

I want to ask for the Mahindra Duro. I like the shape and look of Mahindra Duro. I am not confident about the Mileage. May I know the Exact Mileage of Duro Scooter on road in City. I am thinking to purchase the same in future.
