Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the Toyota Etios Cross X-Edition in India, at a price of INR 6.8 lakh, ex-showroom, Kolkata for the petrol variant.
The Toyota Etios Cross X-Edition features a new black front grille with fog lamp bezels and body coloured cladding with X-Edition badge. The car comes in a new Quartz Brown colour with black roof-rails and body-coloured spoiler.

On the inside, the dashboard features a carbon-fibre finish and a 6.8-inch touchscreen unit with reverse parking camera display. It also comes with voice recognition and remote control. The seats are covered in a new fabric. The diesel variant gets audio controls on the steering wheel.
Powering the Toyota Etios Cross X-Edition are a choice of 1.4 litre D-4D diesel engine and a 1.2 litre DOHC petrol engine, same as the stock car. The four-cylinder diesel engine makes 68 PS of power at 3,800 rpm and 170 Nm of torque between 1,800-2,400 rpm. The petrol engine produces 80 PS of power at 5,600 rpm and 104 Nm of torque at 3,100 rpm. The two engines pair with a 5-speed manual transmission. The ARAI-certified fuel efficiency stands at 17.71 km/l for petrol variant and 23.59 km/l for the diesel model.
The car is 3,895 mm long, 1,735 mm wide and 1,555 mm tall. The wheelbase stands at 2,460 mm. The boot space is 251 litres.

On the safety front, the car gets dual front SRS airbags; 2 ISOFIX Child Restraint System with Tether Anchor; ABS with EBD; front seatbelt with pre-tensioner and force limiter. Immobiliser and keyless entry are standard as well.
