A new spy shot published by Autocar India has partially revealed the Mahindra U321's interior. It offers the clearest look yet at the MPV's cabin.

The Mahinda U321 has a fresh interior design with only minor references to the Mahindra XUV500.

The Mahindra U321 features an all-black dashboard. The rest of the interior could have a lighter shade, at least in the top-spec configuration. The steering wheel is not borrowed from the XUV500 and appears to have a new design. An automatic climate control system is present in the Mahindra U321, and its controls in the lower centre console apparently mimic those of the XUV500.

Sandwiched between the climate control system panel and the two central air vents is a touchscreen infotainment system that should offer GPS navigation, Android Auto smartphone integration and voice control among other features. Other highlights of the U321/S321, seen in the exterior spy shots, include projector headlights, fog lamps with LED DRL strip, 16-inch alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes and rear parking sensors.

According to Autocar India's report, the Mahindra U321 will have an all-new 1.6-litre mFalcon diesel engine under the hood. In that case, the MNATC-developed MPV will not stand a chance to compete with the Toyota Innova Crysta.
