The 2017 Hyundai Verna has been spotted on its way to a dealership with minimal camouflage. These spy shots, sent in by reader Mehul, exposes the interior, which is yet to be officially revealed to the Indian public. These photographs confirm that the car will soon be available at dealerships for demo and test drives.
The dashboard design, as expected, is identical to the new Hyundai Solaris sold in Russia. It features a black and beige colour combination with a silver finish around the air conditioning vents and on the steering wheel. The image also reveals the new steering wheel, which carries control for the audio and telephone on the left and the MID and cruise control on the right. This is the top-spec SX trim, and hence it gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, and automatic headlamps. Hyundai will also offer the new Verna with ventilated front seats and a sunroof.
The exterior of the Hyundai Verna on its way to a dealership sports minimal camouflage covering the headlamps, tail lamps, Hyundai badges and parts of the front and rear bumper. The images reveal features like the 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, shark fin antenna, chrome door handles and cascading front grille.
This top-of-the-line SX trim of the 2017 Hyundai Verna comes with a 1.6 L diesel. This 1,582 cc U2 CRDi motor produces 128 PS making it the most powerful in its segment. The petrol variant is powered by a 123 PS 1,591 cc Gamma motor. Hyundai will offer both variants with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission options.
The Hyundai Verna 2017 for India was digitally revealed on August 4. Pre bookings for the sedan are already underway for an amount of INR 25,000. HMIL will launch the new Hyundai Verna on August 22.
