The new Movistar edition Yamaha V-Ixion is a cosmetic makeover and bears no mechanical changes.
Yamaha Indonesia has launched a new Movistar edition of the 2017 Yamaha V-Ixion. The bike gains a Movistar logo on the tank extension and new decals on the front mudguard.
The Yamaha V-Ixion Movistar livery is in the same blue colour scheme as the Yamaha R15 v3.0 Movistar edition. Colour options in the standard naked roadster include Matte Black, Matte Silver and Red with Black.
Mechanicals in the 2017 Yamaha V-Ixion Movistar is the existing 149.8 cc liquid-cooled, fuel injection, SOHC, 4 valve mill. The gearbox is a 5-speed unit. The engine is capable of producing 16.6 PS of maximum power at 8,500 rpm and 14.5 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. The bike tips the scales at 132 kg and has a 165 mm ground clearance.
Just like the standard variant, the Movistar livery edition continues to get LED headlamp, digital instrumentation, hazard lamps, LED taillamp and a removable mudguard. The naked roadster also gets an assist & slipper clutch, disc brakes at both ends, sporty under engine cowl, monocross rear suspension and engine cut-off switch.
The bike measures 1,955 mm in length, 720 mm in width and 1,025 mm in height. The bike has a wheelbase of 1,295 mm. The fuel tank can store 12 litres of petrol. The seat height is an approachable 795 mm.
The Yamaha V-Ixion Movistar is priced at IDR 26,700,000 (OTR Jakarta) which is IDR 700,000 more than the standard naked roadster. In comparison, the Yamaha Vixion R is priced at IDR 29.5 million (OTR, Jakarta).
