The Mahindra eSupro is the only electric commercial vehicle in the M&M portfolio, and e-rickshaws are coming later this year.

Along with petrol and diesel variants, Mahindra has announced a CNG option for the Mahindra Jeeto Minivan. However, the bigger plan is to go even greener for mass transportation. While EVs like the eVerito and e2O Plus cater to the passenger vehicle segment, the eSupro and eJeeto (TBC) in the commercial vehicle segment would take zero emissions transportation to the masses indirectly.

The Mahindra Jeeto EV's technical specification is unavailable, and a nationwide launch is not planned initially. Currently Mahindra offers three EVs: e2OPlus, eVerito and eSupro. Of the three, the e2OPlus offers the best driving range of 140 km. Later this year, the company will launch a full-range of e-Rickshaws with L-Ion swappable battery, followed by a 9-metre electric bus. It is developing three-four EVs in the INR 8-10 lakh price bracket, and future EVs include a Pininfarina-designed SUV. M&M has invested INR 600 crore into its electric mobility initiative, and has pledged another 600 crore in the next 2 years.
